About Us

Welcome to the Moutere! We boast a scenic land of rolling hills, vineyards, farmland and orchards and a vibrant community which stretches from the outskirts of Motueka to the Nelson plains.

This website has now been established for three years as part of a local initiative to put the region on the map – so to speak. We want to showcase local businesses, events, stories and images of The Moutere to share between community and visitors.

We welcome locals with knowledge of, or interest in the region to contribute to this site on a regular or sporadic basis. Your stories, photos or videos are all welcome and will add to a regularly changing site.
